Gravity for Michelle Apr 18 2017 › May 12 2017
Flying geese, inspired by this http://knittybittiessews.com/2014/09/flying-geese-little-gosling.html
Straight lines that zigzag through the design, approximately 1-inch apart
Used all solid colours, some Kona. Ivory background from stash (Connecting Threads)
Did invisible binding (facing a quilt) as per these instructions https://thesillyboodilly.blogspot.com/2012/09/tutorial-super-duper-easy-way-to-face.html
Used interfacing for stabilizing. Started with a rectangle but decided to do an hexagon (used 2-inch paper template) and appliquéd it on the quilt
Quilt made specifically for Michelle, as a hanging quilt for her entrance. She likes minimalist quilts so I came up with this in her preferred colour scheme. Flying geese, up and down, gradient of orange/clementine and grays. Started with 6 ½ x 3 ½ rectangle + 2 x 3 ½ squares for finished geese (once sewed) of 3x6, as per this https://bcquilter.wordpress.com/quilting-information/flying-geese-size-requirements/. Made hanging sleeve as per MMQG instructions.
